St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School, Karan Bagh is an English medium school founded under the aegis of Diocese of Jammu Srinagar, a registered and charitable society and was established in the year 2001. There are classes from Nursery to XII based on the Curriculum laid down by CISCE, New Delhi. The policy of Education in the schools run by the Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar Education Society is based on the life and teaching of Lord Jesus Christ. This policy encompasses the development of GROWING CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE HUMAN DIGNITY AND THE RIGHT OF EVERY PERSON. This enables person to LIVE IN FELLOWSHIP AND MUTUAL HELPFULNESS. THIS CONCERN IS FOR ALL GOD’S PEOPLE WITHIN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY where the school is situated especially for those of Christian faith and materially poor. Education also includes the DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL enabling a person to BE A LOYAL CITIZEN, PEACEFUL AND JUST IN THIS WORLD. In this way, God’s plan for His world may be realized and mankind may attain the fullness of life.
Aims & Objective
The aim of the school is to impart quality education for the all-round development of the child. The student will be prepared to foster critical and independent thinking, to be agents of social change and uphold human values of high esteem. The students will be prepared for their future duties by a careful cultivation of their minds and hearts. Children will be enlightened intellectually, morally, socially, professionally and spiritually. Although it is a Christian Minority school, every student is encouraged to practice his/her religion. Special emphasis is given for the practice of natural virtues like, universal brotherhood, truthfulness, honesty, politeness, tolerance, simplicity, self-discipline and orderliness.
